SUMMARY:Future Design for a Warming Planet: A Multi-Generational Forum
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a multi-generational forum titled Future Design for a Warming Climate. \nThis event will explore long-term decision-making through the lens of Future Design\, a method that incorporates the perspectives of imagined future generations. Participants will reflect on Oregon’s past\, engage with a fictional policy concept—the Resiliency Bond\, inspired by real-world climate initiatives—and evaluate its implications from a future-oriented viewpoint. \nBy simulating the voices of future Oregonians\, we’ll test ideas\, deliberate trade-offs\, and reflect on what kind of legacy we want to leave behind. The forum will conclude with a collaborative discussion on actionable steps toward a more resilient future. \nSAGE is pleased to offer this forum in partnership with Elders Action Network and Future Design Group\, SAGE’s Emerging Leaders Action Board\, and Portland State University’s Student Sustainability Center and Institute on Aging.
